This is what is happening in Syria. After some days of tanks storming several cities in Syria, it became old news. Yesterday it was very difficult to find even the word "Syria" in the world news. Too much blood in the streets the first day made really difficult to find more surprising, astonishing, thrilling news.
Yesterday there were 11 children killed in Syria. But it had no importance, now the riots in London are fresh news, bloody news... Much better for the bloody news consumers.
I'm not denying the importance of the events in the UK, of course not, but have the right to claim for a little bit of attention for all the people loosing ther lives, but not their hopes, in Syria.
Esto es lo que está ocurriendo en Siria. Después de varios días de tanques atacando varias ciudades en Siria, se han convertido en noticias antiguas. Ayer mismo era muy difícil encontrar siquiera la palabra "Siria" en las noticias internacionales. Demasiada sangre en las calles el primer día hizo realmente difícil encontrar titulares más sorprendentes, increíbles y emocionantes.
Ayer hubo 11 niños asesinados en Siria. Pero no tuvo importancia, ahora los disturbios en Londres son noticias frescas, noticias sangrientas... Mucho mejor para los consumidores de noticias sangrientas.
No estoy negando la importancia de los acontecimientos en el Reino Unido, por supuesto que no, pero tengo el derecho a reclamar un poco de atención para toda la gente que está perdiendo sus vidas, pero no sus esperanzas, en Siria.
