It's so sad to read again and again how the so called " intellectual leftists" are all the time denying the spontaneity of the demonstrations in Syria. All the time are condemning them as the fruit of a conspiracy zionist-imperialist against a "glorious socialist state resisting the external pressures".

Even in the case that it was true, that is NOT, would it justify the bombing of complete districts in the city of Homs, the same that was done before with Deraa, Hama, Deir Ez-Zor????
Now some of these leftists will tell me that is NOT HAPPENING, that Bashar is NOT using tanks, is NOT shelling civil builidings, that his snipers are NOT killing people and then killing the people trying to recover the bodies left in the streets. That people outside Syria and trying to get in contact with their beloved ones are NOT listening trough the phone the explosions in another parts of the city (in the areas under shelling communications are off).
Now they will tell me that what I saw myself before I left Syria, when I saw high smoke columns over Deraa in april, the first day they were shelling it, is NOT TRUE. Or, maybe, I'm lying because really I am a zionist agent inventing a whole story: I AM NOT. Even I consider leftist myself. I saw what I saw, I left Syria with all the pain in my heart, I thought I would come back soon, but till now I can't.
I love Syria, and because of this love, I want the BEST for Syria and the Syrians.
And certainly THE BEST IS NOT TO BE KILLED like trapped animals.

Ahora me contestarán algunos de esos de izquierdas que NO ESTÁ OCURRIENDO, que Bashar NO está usando tanques, NO está bombardeando edificios de viviendas, que sus francotiradores NO están matando gente y luego matando a los que vienen a recoger sus cadáveres que quedaron en la calle. La gente fuera de Siria que intenta ponerse en contacto con sus seres queridos NO están escuchando de fondo por el teléfono los ruidos de las explosiones en otras partes de la ciudad (en las zonas bajo asedio no hay telecomunicaciones).
Ahora me dirán que lo que yo vi por mí misma antes de dejar Siria, cuando vi altas columnas de humo sobre la ciudad de Deraa en abril, el primer día que la bombardearon, NO ES CIERTO. O quizá estoy mintiendo porque soy una agente sionista inventando toda la historia. NO LO SOY. Incluso, me considero de izquierdas. Vi lo que vi, dejé Siria con todo el dolor de mi corazón, pensé que podría volver pronto, pero hasta ahora no he podido.
Amo a Siria, y por este amor, deseo LO MEJOR para Siria y los sirios.
Y, ciertamente, LO MEJOR NO ES SER ASESINADOS como animales atrapados.

A new strike: sex strike / Una nueva huelga: huelga de sexo
Yesterday I was glad to hear about the Noble Prize for Peace being awarded to three women. One of them, from Liberia, had a genial and succesful idea: women comitted to deny sex to their husbands till they were able to stop civil war and reach a peace agreement.
Great!!! All we have to do in Syria is to convince women to do the same. I'll explain it: Shabbiha, soldiers and policemen have wives and mothers. If wives stop having sexual relationships with their husbands, and mothers stop cooking and cleaning for them, when they are not married, it will affect deeply those men in the two things they care for the most: sex and food.
Now, the only problem is to reach to these women and make them like the idea and commit themselves to do their best, and the final aim would be stopping slaughterings in Syria. That would be the first step to topple the regime.
We, women, still don't know how powerful can be, and how desperately the world need us...
Help us to spread this idea, and make it real!!!

Estupendo!!! Todo lo que tenemos que hacer en Syria es convencer a las mujeres para hacer lo mismo. Me explico: Los shabbiha, soldados y policías tienen mujeres y madres. Si las mujeres dejan de tener relaciones sexuales con sus maridos, y las madres dejan de cocinar y limpiar para ellos, cuando no están casados, afectará profundamente a estos hombres en las dos cosas que más les importan: el sexo y la comida.
Ahora, el único problema llegar hasta estas mujeres y hacer que les guste la idea, y que se comprometan a hacer lo que puedan, con el objetivo final de parar las matanzas en Siria. Eso sería el primer paso para derrocar al régimen.
Nosotras, las mujeres, todavía no sabemos cuán poderosas podemos ser, y cuán desesperadamente nos necesita el mundo...

A Syrian woman /Una mujer de Siria
Yesterday I was with Aliaa Mustafa Tabbaa. She is making a hunger strike since friday 16th of September, taking only some liquids and glucose to maintain herself.
First thing attracted my attention were her eyes. Not because of their precious colour, a mixture of grey, green and blue, but because of their innocence, they were like limpid mirrors through a pure soul.
When you talk to her, she speaks softly, both the way of speaking and the words she utters. She has something very clear, her precise ideas, and she transmits them with conviction and hope. You talk to her, and you are sure that the Syrian regime will fall, and will be very soon if we can find more people like her.
Her eyes were bright with tears while telling me how she developed her idea of the hunger strike. She was really moved by the death of Gyath Matar, the young activist killed by the regime, returned to his family in a plastic bag, after being tortured to death. She was speaking through the computer in a conference with several people, one of them the brave Gyath. Someone was advising him to close the communication, telling that we was about to be caught, he answered "just a little bit more", and then... nothing. A few days later, Aliaa knew that he was dead, killed by the savage Syrian regime thugs.
So she saw it cristal clear: she had to do more, for Syria, and for all the fallen martyrs. A hunger strike could atract more attention, and make people be aware of the serious danger that Syrian people asking for freedom affronts day after day.
And so simply, she started the hunger strike.
I wish her the best, her courage has no limits.
Here it is a video of her first day, when she arrived to the Syrian embassy in Madrid, Spain, and where she was staying the whole week, sleeping in the street.

Lo primero que atrajo mi atención fueron sus ojos. No por su precioso color, una mezcla de gris, verde y azul, sino por su inocencia, eran como límpidos espejos a través de un alma pura.
Cuando hablas con ella, ella habla suavemente, tanto la forma de hablar como las palabras que pronuncia. Tiene algo muy claro, sus ideas precisas, y las transmite con convicción y esperanza. Hablas con ella y quedas convencida de que el régimen sirio caerá, y será muy pronto, si tan solo pudiéramos encontrar más gente como ella.
Sus ojos brillaron con lágrimas mientras me contaba cómo se le ocurrió la idea de una huelga de hambre. Realmente ella se conmovió con la muerte de Gyath Matar, el joven activista asesinado por el régimen, cuyo cadáver devolvieron a su familia en una bolsa de plástico, tras haberlo torturado hasta la muerte. Ella estaba hablando en una conferencia a través del ordenador con varias personas, uno de los cuales era el bravo Gyath. Alguien le estaba advirtiendo que cortara la comunicación, diciendo que le iban a coger, el contestó con un "solo un momento más", y luego... nada. Unos días más tarde Aliaa se enteró de que había muerto, asesinado por los matones del régimen.
Así que ella lo vio tan claro como el cristal, tenía que hacer algo más, por Siria y por todos los mártires caídos. Una huelga de hambre podría atraer más atención, y hacer que la gente conociera el serio peligro que afrontan cada día los sirios que aspiran a la libertad.
Y de una forma tan sencilla, ella empezó la huelga de hambre.
Le deseo lo mejor, su valor no tiene límites.

STRIKE OF STUDENTS IN SYRIA / HUELGA DE ESTUDIANTES EN SIRIA

The time for schools and universities to open has come upon us and we are calling for a strike. We urge all students to strike from schools and universities as this will have a huge impact inside Syria and out.
Inside Syria: The strike will provide a stronger feel of the revolution and will encourage others to join, as if schools and universities open normally this will be in benefit of the regime to show everything as calm and normal. Also, movement of students from various areas to universities will block protest movements as many of the university students have been the most active on the ground, and not having a strike will force them into university afraid of being expelled.
Outside Syria: The strike will have a big impact on the world as university students have a high impact on international opinions. A strike like this will seem like a general strike and will lead onto various other strikes across the country.
As you are aware schools have been used as torture centres by the army and police. Children and university students may be arrested during attendance, thus schools mainly seem to be unsafe at the current moment in time. Also the students may be asked questions in order to see their families position regarding the regime as this has occurred before. This will expose family affairs as children are vulnerable and may lead to arrest of family members, as teachers may work as spies.
Many students are missing, some being tortured as you read this and others as young as 12 dead under torture. Children will be attending schools where their friends may have been killed in recent events, or their friend is missing or in prison. The mental state of these children will be affected and it can be seen as morally unacceptable to take our children to schools whilst teenagers and students will not be attending as they have been killed, arrested or missing. Also many young children and students remain trapped inside refugee camps in Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan unable to return to study and continue education.
A unified stance will create a new turn of events, it will strengthen the revolution which is fighting for basic human rights. We really urge you, for the sake of a peaceful revolution that has reached a point of no return, to take part in this strike and work on convincing others.

Nos ha llegado la época de apertura de los colegios y universidades, y estamos convocando a una huelga. Animamos a los estudiantes de colegios y universidades a seguirla, ya que esto tendrá un gran impacto dentro y fuera de Siria.
Dentro de Siria: La huelga proporcionará un sentimiento más fuerte de la revolución, y animará a otros a unirse, además de tener en cuenta que si colegios y universidades abren con normalidad, redundará en beneficio del régimen, al mostrar todo con calma y normalidad. Asímismo, el movimiento de estudiantes de diversas áreas a las universidades bloqueará los movimientos de protesta, ya que muchos de los estudiantes universitarios han sido los más activos sobre el terreno, y si no hay una huelga eso les forzará a ir a la universidad, con el consiguiente miedo a ser expulsados.
Fuera de Siria: La huelga tendrá un gran impacto en el mundo puesto que los estudiantes universitarios tienen habitualmente un alto impacto en las opiniones internacionales. Una huelga de este estilo será muy semejante a una huelga general, y conducirá a la convocatoria de otras huelgas a lo largo del país.
Como es sabido, los colegios se han venido usando como centros de tortura por parte del ejército y la policía. Los niños y estudiantes universitarios pueden ser detenidos al asistir a clase, por lo cual parecen lugares inseguros en estos momentos. Además, es posible que a los estudiantes se les interrogue sobre la postura de sus familias con respecto al régimen, como ya se ha hecho anteriormente. De este modo se expondrán los asuntos familiares, al ser los niños más vulnerables, y conducir al arresto de miembros de la familia, puesto que los profesores pueden trabajar como espías.
Muchos estudiantes siguen desaparecidos, quizá están siendo torturados mientras tú lees esto, y algunos tan jóvenes como de 12 años de edad han sido torturados hasta la muerte. Los niños irán a colegios donde sus amigos pueden haber sido asesinados en los recientes acontecimientos, o quizá sus amigos están desaparecidos o en la cárcel. El estado mental de dichos niños se verá muy afectado, e incluso puede verse como moralmente inaceptable llevar a nuestros hijos al colegio mientras adolescentes y estudiantes no podrán asistir al haber sido asesinados, o estar detenidos o desaparecidos. Igualmente, muchos chicos jóvenes permanecen confinados en campos de refugiados en Turquía, Líbano o Jordania, imposibilitados de volver a los estudios y continuar con su educación.
Una postura unificada creará un nuevo giro en los acontecimientos, reforzará una revolución que está luchando por derechos humanos básicos. Te rogamos encarecidamente, por el bien de una revolución pacífica que ya ha sobrepasado el punto de no retorno, que tomes parte en esta huelga y trabajes para convencer a otros.

لقد حان وقت افتتاح المدارس والجامعات في سورية ونحن هنا ندعو الى الاضراب. نحن نحث جميع الطلاب على الإضراب من الذهاب للمدارس والجامعات حيث ان هذا سوف يكون له تأثير كبير داخل سوريا وخارجها.
داخل سوريا : إن الإضراب سيعطي شعور و زخم قوي للثورة وسيشجع الآخرين على الانضمام اليها . اما دوام المدارس والجامعات سيكون في مصلحة النظام حيث ان هذا سيعطي الانطباع بان كل شيء هادئ وطبيعي.
على صعيد اخر فان ذهاب الطلاب من مختلف المناطق إلى الجامعات سيخفف من كتلة الحركات الاحتجاجية لان الطلاب الجامعيين يشكلون حركة ناشطة على أرض الواقع ، وعدم وجود اضراب سيجبرهم على الذهاب للجامعات خوفا من الفصل.
خارج سورية : إن الإضراب سيكون له تأثير كبير على العالم حيث ان طلاب الجامعات لديهم تأثير كبير على الرأي العام الدولي.و مثل هذا الإضراب يبدو وكأنه حركة احتجاج معممة ، وسوف يؤدي الى ازدياد الاضرابات في مختلف أنحاء البلاد.
كما هو معلوم فان المدارس و الجامعات استعملت كمراكز لتعذيب المتظاهرين على أيدي الجيش والشرطة. لذلك وجود الاطفال و طلاب الجامعات في الدوام قد يعرضهم للاعتقال لان المدارس و الجامعات اضحت اماكن غير امنة. ايضا فان النظام قد يستغل الطلاب و يسألهم عن ظروف عائلاتهم و موقفهم من الثورة . و هذا بدوره قد يعرض العديد من الاشخاص للاعتقال و قد يدفع النظام المعلمين للعمل كجواسيس على الطلاب و عائلاتهم.
العديد من الطلاب الان في عداد المفقودين ، و العديد تعرض للتعذيب وحتى اطفال لا يتجاوز اعمارهم 12 سنة قتلوا تحت وطأة التعذيب. وسوف يكون الأطفال ملتحقين في نفس المدارس حيث قتل أصدقائهم او فقدوا او ربما ما زالوا يعذبون. هذا بكل تأكيد سوف يؤثر على الحالة النفسية لهؤلاء الأطفال ، ويمكن اعتبار ذلك على أنه أمر غير مقبول من الناحية الاخلاقية .
هذا غير ان العديد من الشباب والطلاب ما زالوا عالقين داخل مخيمات اللاجئين في تركيا ولبنان والأردن و غير قادرين على العودة إلى الدراسة ومواصلة التعليم.
ان موقفا موحدا سيخلق منعطفا جديدا للأحداث ،و سيؤدي لتعزيز الثورة التي تقاتل من أجل حقوق الإنسان الأساسية.

خارج سورية : إن الإضراب سيكون له تأثير كبير على العالم حيث ان طلاب الجامعات لديهم تأثير كبير على الرأي العام الدولي.و مثل هذا الإضراب يبدو وكأنه حركة احتجاج معممة ، وسوف يؤدي الى ازدياد الاضرابات في مختلف أنحاء البلاد.
كما هو معلوم فان المدارس و الجامعات استعملت كمراكز لتعذيب المتظاهرين على أيدي الجيش والشرطة. لذلك وجود الاطفال و طلاب الجامعات في الدوام قد يعرضهم للاعتقال لان المدارس و الجامعات اضحت اماكن غير امنة. ايضا فان النظام قد يستغل الطلاب و يسألهم عن ظروف عائلاتهم و موقفهم من الثورة . و هذا بدوره قد يعرض العديد من الاشخاص للاعتقال و قد يدفع النظام المعلمين للعمل كجواسيس على الطلاب و عائلاتهم.
العديد من الطلاب الان في عداد المفقودين ، و العديد تعرض للتعذيب وحتى اطفال لا يتجاوز اعمارهم 12 سنة قتلوا تحت وطأة التعذيب. وسوف يكون الأطفال ملتحقين في نفس المدارس حيث قتل أصدقائهم او فقدوا او ربما ما زالوا يعذبون. هذا بكل تأكيد سوف يؤثر على الحالة النفسية لهؤلاء الأطفال ، ويمكن اعتبار ذلك على أنه أمر غير مقبول من الناحية الاخلاقية .
هذا غير ان العديد من الشباب والطلاب ما زالوا عالقين داخل مخيمات اللاجئين في تركيا ولبنان والأردن و غير قادرين على العودة إلى الدراسة ومواصلة التعليم.
ان موقفا موحدا سيخلق منعطفا جديدا للأحداث ،و سيؤدي لتعزيز الثورة التي تقاتل من أجل حقوق الإنسان الأساسية.
و ها هنا نحثكم من أجل الثورة السلمية التي وصلت الى نقطة اللاعودة ،ان تشاركوا في هذا الإضراب والعمل على إقناع الآخرين ايضا

Hay que explicarlo todo, que luego no se entiende...
Lo que la mayoría de sirios desean en estos momentos es la protección internacional. Esto es, que las diversas naciones civilizadas, defensoras de los derechos humanos, tomen postura clara y tajante frente a la sinrazón de la violencia ejercida por el régimen sirio contra sus ciudadanos. Esta postura tiene que manifestarse de diversas formas, mediante seria y real presión diplomática (no nos vale el "donde dije digo digo Diego" de siempre, el retractarse, el cambiar de postura cambiando las palabras, etc.). También es absolutamente necesario el envío de observadores internacionales de probada honradez y honestidad, personas de valía reconocida en todos los ámbitos políticos y sociales, que se encarguen de visitar el país, especialmente las zonas más castigadas. Y por último, llega la cuestión más peliaguda, la de las fuerzas armadas.
En Siria no debe repetirse lo ocurrido en Libia, donde la OTAN tomó la iniciativa de "defender" Libia atacando objetivos según su propio criterio, sin tener como base resoluciones de la ONU, simplemente pensando en el futuro reparto de la gran tarta de los hidrocarburos libios y otras delicatessen.
La ONU tiene reconocida como su fuerza de paz, en misiones humanitarias de protección de la población civil, de árbitro para lograr equilibrio de fuerzas, a los llamados Cascos Azules. Estos soldados son los que se deberían encargar, si falla todo lo anterior, de desplegarse en Siria y proteger a la población civil.
Nunca, repito, nunca, debería darse entrada a la OTAN, visto el desastre que ha supuesto en Libia. No han conseguido proteger a la población civil, al contrario, en Tripoli han sido duramente castigados simplemente por estar en la ciudad incorrecta en el peor de los momentos. Tampoco han ayudado a reducir la duración de la guerra entre los leales a Ghaddafi y los luchadores por la libertad. Y ni siquiera han conseguido, ellos, con sus poderosas armas y artilugios técnicos de última generación, encontrar a Ghadaffi y detenerlo vivo para entregarlo al pueblo libio y someterlo a juicio.
La OTAN no debería ser nunca una opción para Siria. Y pedir su entrada sería hacer el juego a gente como AbdelHalim Haddam, el ex-vicepresidente sirio, ahora en el exilio. El y otros como él lo están pidiendo a gritos, intentando hacerse los buenos ahora, buscando un hueco en el futuro político de Siria, cuando en realidad son los mismos perros del régimen pero con diferentes collares. Nunca han tenido nada de demócratas, y no pueden engañarnos.

LET'S GET TOGETHER, SERIOUSLY / TENEMOS QUE UNIRNOS, SERIAMENTE
The most important thing, in this moment, as I see it, is to get all the opposition working together, to offer to the world a solid movement representing all the voices that are these days in the streets of Syria. The little problem is that everybody is thinking first of their own ambitions, their own desires, nobody seems to listen to the other, nobody is yielding a little bit on their points of view in order to get a real agreement. The meeting at Istanbul of the opposition showed us the spectacle of a lot of factions trying to impose their views only. Everybody seems to be the best for Syria, so everybody wants to be in the leading positions.
There is no place for this kind of opposition. We need honest people with honest worrying about Syria. We need people that remember more than anything those people spilling out their blood over the streets of Syria.
Where are them?
How can honestly ask for help to the rest of the world when we do not know which kind of help want, because everybody have their own thinkings?. We are not able to get together and forget differences, and still we are demanding from the world to do any kind of action.
We have to act by ourselves, we have to do something: first of all, we have to be ONE. After all, this is what syrian people are repeating in the streets, but we are failing to convey it to the world in political forums. Just as Bashar would like: Divide and you'll win
Lo más importante en estos momentos, a mi modo de ver, es conseguir que toda la oposición trabaje conjuntamente, para ofrecer al mundo un movimiento sólido representando todas las voces que se escuchan estos días en las calles de Siria. El pequeño problema es que todo el mundo piensa primero en sus propias ambiciones, sus propios deseos, nadie parece escuchar al otro, nadie cede ni un ápice en sus puntos de vista con el fin de lograr un acuerdo total. El encuentro en Estambul de la oposición nos ha ofrecido el espectáculo de un montón de grupúsculos intentando imponer exclusivamente sus visiones. Todo el mundo parece ser lo mejor para Siria, por eso todo el mundo quiere estar en las posiciones de liderazgo.
No hay lugar para esta clase de oposición. Necesitamos gente honesta, con una preocupación sincera por Siria. Necesitamos gente que recuerde más que nada a los que están derramando su sangre sobre las calles de Siria.
¿Dónde está esa gente?
Honestamente, ¿cómo podemos pedir ayuda al resto del mundo cuando no sabemos qué clase de ayuda queremos, porque cada persona tiene sus propias opiniones? No somos capaces de reunirnos y olvidar las diferencias, y aún estamos exigiendo al mundo que tome algún tipo de medidas.
Tenemos que actuar por nosotros mismos, tenemos que hacer algo. Lo primero, tenemos que ser UNO. Después de todo, esto es lo que está coreando la gente en las calles, pero estamos fallando al transmitirlo al mundo en los foros políticos. Justo como a Bashar le gustaría: Divide y vencerás.

Statement from Twitter Co-ordination of the Syrian Revolution / Declaración de la Coordinadora de Twitter para la Revolución Siria
A statement to the Security Council of the United Nations and in particular the People's Republic of China and the Russian Federation specifically.
The members of the Twitter Co-ordination of the Syrian Revolution reject the call from the government of China for "maximum restraint" on "all sides in Syria", suggesting we are actively engaged in violence to overthrow the regime of Bashar Al-Assad. Our uprising has been overwhelmingly peaceful from day one.
Assad's regime is using systematic violence and sectarian provocation in attempts to push us to counter-act with violence. As a result, there have been a limited number of instances where protesters have had to resort to a reactive, but unsystematic, counter violence.
Our movement has been peaceful and we've been practicing maximum restraint for more than five months and we will continue to do so. Despite the violence, the sectarian provocation and the horrific number of Syrian lives lost, our movement is still overwhelmingly peaceful.
Such a call should be directed only to the illegitimate Syrian regime, the one side that is using violence systematically. The Syrian uprising is a peaceful movement demanding democracy, universal human rights and dignity. It is not an armed conflict between two rival entities.
We understand that members of the international community take positions according to their interests. We would like to remind them, especially Russia and China, that they can preserve their interests in Syria by siding with the people and their legitimate demands. Assad's regime will not last forever, we are not going to allow Assad to continue to rule us and deprive us of our legitimate rights.
We call on the Russian, Chinese, Indian, Brazilian and South African governments to stand on the right side of history. We believe the time has come for tough and serious sanctions against Assad’s regime to stop the crackdown. We believe the new Security Council-drafted resolution by United States and European Union is a good chance to act now to save innocent Syrian lives.

Los miembros de la Coordinadora de Twitter para la Revolución Siria rechazan el llamamiento del Gobierno de China a la "máxima contención" de "todos los bandos" en Siria, sugiriendo que estamos activamente involucrados en actos de violencia para derrocar al régimen de Bashar al-Assad. Nos gustaría recordarles, especialmente a Rusia y China, que pueden preservar sus intereses en Siria alineándose con el pueblo y sus demandas legítimas. El régimen de al-Assad no durará para siempre, no vamos a permitir que Assad continúe dirigiendo nuestros destinos y privándonos de nuestros derechos legítimos.
Hacemos un llamamiento a los gobiernos de Rusia, China, India, Brasil y Sudáfrica para colocarse en el lado correcto de la historia. Creemos que ha llegado el momento de ejercer duras y serias sanciones contra el régimen de Assad para parar la represión. Creemos que la nueva resolución redactada por los Estados Unidos y la Unión Europea es una buena oportunidad de actuar ahora y salvar vidas inocentes del pueblo sirio.

إن أعضاء "تنسيقية تويتر للثورة السورية" يرفضون الدعوة من الحكومة الصينية الى "أقصى درجات ضبط النفس" من "جميع الأطراف في سوريا"، مقترحةً أننا متورطون في العنف للإطاحة بنظام الأسد. إن انتفاضتنا كانت سلمية إلى حد بعيد منذ اليوم الأول.
إن نظام الأسد يستخدام عنفاً منهجياً واستفزازاً طائفياً في محاولات لدفعنا للرد بالعنف، ونتيجة لذلك، كان هناك عدد محدود من الحالات حيث اضطر المتظاهرون كردة فعل إلى اللجوء إلى العنف المضاد غير المنظّم.
إن حركتنا سلمية ونحن نمارس أقصى درجات ضبط النفس لأكثر من خمسة أشهر، وسنواصل القيام بذلك. وعلى الرغم من العنف والاستفزاز الطائفي والأعداد المروعة من الأرواح السورية المفقودة، فإن حركتنا لا تزال سلميةً إلى حد كبير.

STORY OF A LIE / HISTORIA DE UNA MENTIRA
Appeared yesterday in Dunia TV (private pro-regime syrian channel) a new, accompanied by a photo, of some jews (or people holding Israel flags) in Madrid, talking to some syrian protesters during the sit-in in front of the Syrian embassy in Madrid. Dunia TV of course began talking again about the relationship between the protesters in Syria and zionist agents.
Well, here is the story: In these days, Madrid is hosting hundreds of thousands of pilgrims coming from the whole world to attend the event named JMJ (World Journeys of Youth), that really is an event for catholic youths, whising to meet the Pope who is also here now. So is not strange see in the streets of Madrid young people wearing flags of their countries (by the way, if someone can tell me why should young jews be interested in attending a catholic event, please, help me, and answer). What happened was that those young jews with an Israel flag walking close to the embassy (located in a very touristic area, exactly in front of El Prado Museum) saw the syrian flags, and some girls wearing scarves on their heads, so began to insult them.
Now, comes the great question. As the exchange of insults was only a minute or two, there are only two possibilities: Either the people in the Syrian embassy hiding after the closed windows were watching carefully with a camera those syrian protestors in the street, and took a picture in a quick reaction, either those people with Israel flags were sent by embassy people to prepare a flimsy trap to all the syrian opposition, beginning again with the whole story of zionist agents paying armed gangs inside and outside Syria to make disturbs.
I can't answer to these, only the Syrian embassy in Spain can tell, and they wouldn't do it gladly.
But as I know that on 2nd July they prepared a pro-regime demonstration in front of the embassy, and it was exposed in internet that they had to hire moroccan and south-american people, paying them 50 euro (or even 1000 euro) for attending to the demonstration, nothing surprises me anymore. Ayer apareció una noticia en Dunia TV (canal privado sirio afecto al régimen), acompañada de una foto, de algunos judíos (o gente que portaba banderas de Israel) en Madrid, hablando con algunos manifestantes sirios durante la sentada que llevaban a cabo frente a la embajada siria en Madrid. Dunia TV, por supuesto, empezó a hablar de nuevo sobre la obvia relación entre los manifestantes en Siria y los agentes sionistas.
Bien, aquí está la historia. En estos días Madrid acoge centenares de miles de peregrinos de todo el mundo en un evento llamado JMJ (Jornada Mundial de la Juventud), que realmente es un evento para jóvenes católicos que desean encontrarse con el Papa, quien también se halla en la ciudad en estos momentos. Así que no es extraño encontrar por todas partes en las calles de Madrid jóvenes portando las banderas de sus respectivos países (por cierto, si alguien me puede explicar por qué unos jóvenes judíos estarían interesados en acudir a un evento católico, por favor, que me ayude y conteste). Lo que ocurrió entonces fue que esos jóvenes judíos vieron las banderas sirias, y algunas muchachas llevando pañuelos en sus cabezas, y empezaron a insultarles.
Ahora viene la gran pregunta: Ya que el intercambio de insultos duró escasamente un minuto o dos, sólo hay dos posibilidades. O bien la gente de la embajada siria vigilaba atentamente desde detrás de las ventanas cerradas a los manifestantes sirios con una cámara, y tomaron fotos en una rápida reacción, o bien esa gente con banderas israelíes fueron enviados por la gente de la embajada para preparar una burda trampa a toda la oposición siria, retomando de nuevo la historia de agentes sionistas que pagan a bandas armadas dentro y fuera de Siria para crear disturbios.
No puedo responder a esto, sólo la embajada siria en España puede hacerlo, y no creo que lo hicieran de buena gana.
Pero como sé que el pasado 2 de julio organizaron una manifestación de apoyo al régimen frente a la embajada, y ya les han denunciado en internet por tener que pagar a personas de Marruecos y Sudamérica 50 euros (o incluso 1000 euros) para estar en la concentración, pues ya nada me sorprende. OLD NEWS, NO NEWS / NOTICIAS ANTIGUAS YA NO SON NOTICIA
This is what is happening in Syria. After some days of tanks storming several cities in Syria, it became old news. Yesterday it was very difficult to find even the word "Syria" in the world news. Too much blood in the streets the first day made really difficult to find more surprising, astonishing, thrilling news.
Yesterday there were 11 children killed in Syria. But it had no importance, now the riots in London are fresh news, bloody news... Much better for the bloody news consumers.
I'm not denying the importance of the events in the UK, of course not, but have the right to claim for a little bit of attention for all the people loosing ther lives, but not their hopes, in Syria.
Esto es lo que está ocurriendo en Siria. Después de varios días de tanques atacando varias ciudades en Siria, se han convertido en noticias antiguas. Ayer mismo era muy difícil encontrar siquiera la palabra "Siria" en las noticias internacionales. Demasiada sangre en las calles el primer día hizo realmente difícil encontrar titulares más sorprendentes, increíbles y emocionantes.
Ayer hubo 11 niños asesinados en Siria. Pero no tuvo importancia, ahora los disturbios en Londres son noticias frescas, noticias sangrientas... Mucho mejor para los consumidores de noticias sangrientas.
No estoy negando la importancia de los acontecimientos en el Reino Unido, por supuesto que no, pero tengo el derecho a reclamar un poco de atención para toda la gente que está perdiendo sus vidas, pero no sus esperanzas, en Siria.

I'm not denying the importance of the events in the UK, of course not, but have the right to claim for a little bit of attention for all the people loosing ther lives, but not their hopes, in Syria.

WE CANNOT BE SILENT ANYMORE / NO PODEMOS SEGUIR CALLADAS
I hope so much blood in the streets is not in vain. These days the world is watching massacre after massacre without any significative reaction. What we need for Syria is not the kind of "help" that was sent to Lybia, no!!!! But we need some kind of diplomatic pressure. Till now, we have seen a lot of words, a lot of bla, bla, bla... without effective meaning. Even the words from the UN was more a kind of paper-to-shut-the-mouths-of-people-demanding-action.
Not buying oil from Syria could be a good action. It will not affect the people (remember, people from Deir Zour haven't seen a "lira" from the benefits of selling their oil) and will mean a lot of pain for the criminals' pockets.
Targetting the convoys of arms sent to Syria could be another good action. Turkey has began, let's hope everyone else do the same instead of selling more arms to Syria.
More good actions: trying to convince the people inside of Syria that still are believing the regime version about a zionist conspiration. Still a lot of people think that the demonstrators are not many and they are paid for foreign countries (you-know-who) to bring chaos to Syria.

Espero que tanta sangre derramada en las calles no sea en vano. Estos días el mundo está contemplando masacre tras masacre sin una reacción significativa. Lo que necesitamos para Siria no es la clase de "ayuda" que enviaron a Libia, ¡¡¡no!!! Pero necesitamos alguna clase de presión diplomática. Hasta ahora sólo ha habido un montón de palabras, un montón de bla, bla, bla... sin significado efectivo. Incluso las palabras de la ONU no han sido más que un documento-para-cerrar-la-boca-de-la-gente-que-demanda-acciones.
Dejar de comprar el petróleo a Siria podría ser una buena opción. No afectará al pueblo (recordemos que la gente de Deir Zour no ha visto ni una "lira" del dinero de la venta del petróleo) y hará un montón de daño en los bolsillos de los criminales.
Bloquear los envíos de armas a Siria podría ser otra buena acción. Turquía ya ha empezado, esperemos que todo el mundo haga lo mismo en lugar de vender más armas a Siria.
Más buenas acciones: Intentar convencer a la gente de Siria que todavía cree la versión oficial del régimen sobre una conspiración sionista. Todavía hay demasiada gente que cree que los manifestantes no son demasiados y que están pagados por países extranjeros (ya-sabéis-quién) para traer el caos a Siria.

RAMADAN MASSACRE / MASACRE EN RAMADAN
These days in Twitter you can find #RamadanMassacre as a trending topic. We can see a lot of people trying to make it top trend. Well, I don't see how making it the most sent word can help people under the fire. Maybe we should try to push hard UN, European Union, United States and so on to increase pressure on the regime, making effective sanctions like embargo on arms for Syria, that would be a great point.
People in Syria are under the fire. What does it mean? It means that tanks are shelling cities, not only Hama, yet Hamawi are facing the heaviest fire. It means that you are not safe in your home, even if you are not a demonstrator ammunition cannot recognize the difference, you are going to be blasted the same.
Syrian regime still is saying they are "protecting the citizens" and "chasing armed gangs that are disturbing the country". Also, they maintain that are entering into the cities with tanks "as innocent syrian citizens are asking them for protection against these armed gangs". Even if this last thing was true, that is not, there remains the little problem that is like hunting mosquitoes with cannonshots... Suppose any other country in the world affront their terrorism problems shelling whole cities... Ooooh my God! The whole world would rise million voices against it.
I don't hear million voices again Syrian regime... only the voices of those who are not holding the real power.
Till when UN's silence? Out there, people are dying, waiting for international support... They need something more than being a trending topic in Twitter...
Estos días en Twitter puedes encontrar #RamadanMassacre como tema de moda. Podemos ver un montón de gente intentando que sea el tema más difundido. Bueno, no puedo entender cómo conseguir que sea la palabra más enviada puede ayudar a la gente que está bajo el fuego. Quizá deberíamos intentar presionar a la ONU, la Comunidad Europea y Estados Unidos para que aprieten las clavijas al régimen, implantando sanciones efectivas, como el embargo de armas a Siria, eso sería un gran logro.
Las personas en Siria están bajo el fuego. ¿Qué significa? Significa que los tanques están bombardeando ciudades, no sólo Hama, aunque los hamuis son los que estan afrontando el fuego más intenso. Significa que no estás a salvo en tu casa, que aunque no seas un manifestante las municiones no reconocen la diferencia, te van a volar en pedazos lo mismo.
El régimen sirio continua diciendo que están "protegiendo a los ciudadanos" y "persiguiendo a las bandas armadas que están asolando el país". Igualmente mantienen que están entrando en las ciudades con tanques "a petición de los ciudadanos sirios inocentes que buscan protección contra esas bandas armadas". Incluso si esto último fuera cierto, que no lo es, queda el pequeño problema de que sería como cazar mosquitos a cañonazos. Supongamos que cualquier otro país del mundo afronta sus problemas de terrorismo bombardeando ciudades enteras... ¡Oooh, Dios mío! El mundo entero elevaría un millón de voces contra ello.
Pero yo no oigo un millón de voces contra el régimen sirio... sólo las voces de aquellos que no tienen el poder real.

Protesters had promised Syrian authorities to intensify protests in Ramadan and make it the regime’s last month. Today Syrian authorities responded to this promise with the only answer they have known since the beginning of the revolution, but in a more intense way. The regime actions today reflect a desperate will of suppressing the peaceful movement, or reflects a great fear and a internal confusion, especially after the latest splits within the army, which now are more than isolated individual cases.
Today, the regime randomly killed more than seventy Syrian citizens in the streets and inside, by using all kinds of light and heavy weapons, and after removing all barriers used by the population to protect itself from military armored vehicles and from the oppression of security forces. Hama was waiting for military troops deployed at its boundaries to sweep into the city for approximately three weeks. Hama had already sacrificed more than seventy martyrs in one Friday, when the army swept into the city for the first time two months ago.
In Deir Ezzor, which was first hit two days ago, several soldiers have defected and the number of defecting soldiers are increasing with the escalation of the regime's forces' violence, Also Al Harak, close to Daraa, witnessed an invasion since the beginning of the uprising 4 months ago, while Mouadamyeh, a Damascus suburb, was first invaded two months and a half ago, troops now are being moved between the many cities of Damascus Suburbs to defuse the demonstrations in the largest areas and the closest to the capital Damascus.
Even the cities whose people went out demonstrating in solidarity with their fellow citizens who are being randomly killed, were not saved from the regime's wrath.
What is going one now in Syria is a regime clinging to its power in madness, and not a planned course of action. This is evident by the random killings targeting children, infants and arrests of whole families.
El régimen comienza el mes sagrado con masacres, temiendo su caída al final del mes. Los manifestantes habían prometido a las autoridades sirias intensificar las protestas en Ramadán y hacer que éste fuera el último mes del régimen. Hoy las autoridades sirias respondieron a esta promesa con la única contestación que han conocido desde el inicio de la revolución, pero de una manera mucho más intensa. Las acciones de hoy del régimen reflejan una voluntad desesperada de suprimir el movimiento pacífico, o refleja un gran miedo y confusión interna, especialmente después de las últimas deserciones dentro del ejército, que ahora son algo más que casos individuales aislados. Hoy, el régimen asesinó indiscriminadamente a más de setenta ciudadanos sirios en las calles y en sus casas, usando todo tipo de armas, ligeras y pesadas, y después de retirar todas las barreras que los ciudadanos habían colocado para defenderse de los vehículos militares armados y de la opresión de las fuerzas de seguridad. Hama estaba esperando, desde hace aproximadamente tres semanas, que las tropas militares desplegadas en los alrededores arrasaran la ciudad. Hama ya había sacrificado más de setenta mártires en un solo viernes, cuando el ejército irrumpió por primera vez en la ciudad hace dos meses.
En Deir Ezzor, donde ocurrió el primer golpe hace dos días, varios soldados han desertado, y el número de deserciones se incrementa con la escalada de violencia de las fuerzas del régimen. También Al Harak, cerca de Daraa, fue testigo de una invasión desde el principio de las revueltas hace 4 meses, mientras que Mouadhamyeh, un suburbio de Damasco, fue invadido por primera vez hace dos meses y medio. LET WOMEN DEMONSTRATE / QUE LAS MUJERES SE MANIFIESTEN
This is also "our businesss". I mean, as women, we are suffering exactly the same (or more) like men. When they get out on demonstrations, most women stay at home eating their nails, waiting for them to come back. Some of them never come back, go to jail or to the tomb. But you don't see many women in demonstrations. The exceptions are rare, but exist, like the women of Banyas who were asking for their men to be returned home safely. Well, they even appeared in the state TV, conveniently changing their petitions, of course, but the point is that they got more attention because there are no many women attending protests. Yes, we have the glorious example of the actress May Skaff, detained because his "crime" is worse, being a public face she has no right at all to oppose to the regime. Woman and a very known one!!!
So imagine just for one second that women begin to attend to friday prayers, go to the mosques with their men and children. You may think that they will be in danger, but it may be the revulsive that men need. Till now, male protesters are defeated by shabbiha, who break out all demonstrations from the beginning in places like Damascus or Aleppo. But what if these same men have their women with them, and see a shabbiha trying to put a finger on one of them? They would EAT the shabbiha without doubt, the courage would reappear, courage that they don't have after so many years of staying like sheep under the rule of the shepard, going right or left as he wishes, helped by his dogs.
Then, there would be no more fear, truly.
Let us, women, get out and demonstrate. I did it twice, I'm going to try it more and more.

Cuando ellos salen a manifestarse, la mayoría de las mujeres se quedan en casa mordiéndose las uñas esperando que ellos vuelvan. Algunos de ellos nunca vuelven, van a la cárcel o a la tumba. Pero no se ven demasiadas mujeres en las manifestaciones. Las excepciones son raras, pero existen, como la manifestación de mujeres de Banyas pidiendo que les devolvieran a sus hombres sanos y salvos. Incluso aparecieron en la televisión pública, cambiando convenientemente sus peticiones, eso sí, pero el punto es que recibieron más atención porque no hay muchas mujeres manifestándose. Puede parecer que estarán en peligro, pero ellas pueden ser el revulsivo que necesitan los hombres. Hasta ahora los manifestantes masculinos son derrotados por los shabbiha, que dispersan todas las manifestaciones desde el principio en lugares como Damasco y Alepo. Pero, ¿qué pasaría si esos mismos hombres tienen a sus mujeres con ellos y ven a un shabbiha poner un dedo encima de una de ellas? sin duda SE LO COMERÍAN, el valor volvería a reaparecer, ese valor que no han tenido después de tantos años de ser como ovejitas conducidas por un pastor, yendo a derecha e izquierda según sus deseos, ayudado por sus perros.

A QUESTION FOR BLIND PEOPLE IN SYRIA/ UNA PREGUNTA PARA LOS CIEGOS EN SIRIA
Another Friday in Syria, more of the same, people protesting peacefully, and excesive violence in the crackdown from the regime. At least 15 people killed, according to conservative sources, more than 20 according to syrian activists. More of the same, people still denying the violence of the regime. People still saying: "everything is fine, nothing happens". People shutting firmly their eyes so they can't see the truth: you don't see it, you don't feel it.
OK. Just a question for this voluntarily blind people: if security forces are protecting nice and honorable syrian people and their properties from the "bad ones", what are they doing in this video recorded at Barzeh, in Damascus?

Otro viernes en Siria, más de lo mismo, gente que protesta pacíficamente y excesiva violencia en la represión por parte del régimen. Por lo menos 15 muertos, según fuentes muy conservadoras, más de 20 según algunos activistas sirios. Más de lo mismo, gente que todavía niega la violencia del régimen. Gente que todavía dice: "todo está bien. No ocurre nada". Gente que cierra sus ojos firmemente para no ver la realidad: ojos que no ven, corazón que no siente.
De acuerdo. Una pregunta para esta gente ciega voluntariamente: si las fuerzas de seguridad están protegiendo al agradable y decente pueblo sirio y a sus propiedades de "los malos", ¿qué están haciendo en este video grabado en Barzeh, barrio de Damasco?

They came for the men first, as the security forces of Syria's PresidentBashar al-Assad killed, beat and arrested people protesting against his regime.
Next, they came for the women of Syria's revolution. Despite the threats, however, they refuse to be silenced.
As the violence has become worse, women activists have organised a Friday protest of Free Women showing solidarity with those seized or killed. Women-only protests in towns across the country have led the effort to let the outside world know what is happening in Syria. But they are now being targeted as well, with the same lethal brutality.
Two weeks ago three women were shot dead at an all-women march near the besieged city of Banias. A week later human rights activist Catherine al-Talli, 32, was detained in the Barzeh district of Damascus after being forced off a minibus when it was stopped at a checkpoint by the secret police.
Others, such as Razan Zeitouneh, whose husband has been arrested, have been forced into hiding as evidence emerges that the regime is targeting relatives of those it is seeking to arrest.
Yesterday it was Zeitouneh who reported that the final death toll for the latest crackdown on Friday protests by the regime had been 30. Twelve were reported dead in Ma'aret al-Nu'man, south of Syria's second city Aleppo, after tanks entered the town earlier in the day to disperse protesters; 11 in the central city of Homs and seven in Deraa, Latakia, the Damascus suburbs and Hama.
"Reem" – we have changed her name to protect her family – spoke to the Observer from Syria last week. Aged 22, she is expecting her first child in the next few weeks. Her husband, an anti-regime activist, has been arrested twice and is now in detention. Her father was invited to a meeting with a senior member of the regime and detained afterwards.
Reem has been arrested once. In common with activist friends, she expects a knock on her door from the security forces at any moment. She is still ready to risk prison by talking about the murderous repression in her country.
"I have women friends who have been arrested like me," she said. "But then they just go out again to protest. One of my friends was arrested for collecting medical supplies for the people in Deraa. She was beaten at the security branch and they forced her to take off her headscarf. She was held for two weeks and released two days ago.
"She is very enthusiastic and active. She is getting ready to protest again. The only thing that is keeping me at home right now is that I'm expecting a baby in two weeks."
For now, Reem has to content herself with reporting what she has seen and what she knows, which is dangerous enough in a country where the international media are largely banned. "If you tell the truth," she said, "there is a big chance of arrest. You risk being beaten and being treated with no dignity."
That treatment was described last week by Dorothy Parvaz, an al-Jazeera journalist who was arrested by the Syrians in Damascus and encountered a number of terrified young women in the security barracks where she was held. Upon her release, Parvaz described how two of the young women she met had simply been plucked off the street for no apparent reason. "One had been there for eight days when I met her," wrote Parvaz last week. "And she looked ill. The food we were given three times a day – fetid, random and at times rotting – mostly had the effect of making her vomit, but she was too hungry to stop eating ."
Reem has an explanation for the detention of these young women. "They have been arresting anyone with a phone they see in the streets," she said. "They do not want anyone to take pictures, to tell the world what is happening."
Reem describes seeing one young woman being dragged by security forces into a shop at a demonstration. "We saw a young girl and some security men in civilian clothes. They grabbed her by the head and dragged her off, calling her a traitor. She said: 'I'm not a traitor!' They pulled her into a shop and we tried to reach her, but they shut the door on us and then took her somewhere else.
"Women have played a really important role since the first protests in March – non-violent activists like myself and the mothers and sisters of prisoners of conscience."
And the part women are playing has become ever more important. "In some areas," says Ameera, a human rights lawyer, "so many of the men have been killed, arrested or injured it is the women who have been left to protest. The biggest problem is trying to find the people who have disappeared. The security forces won't say where they are, and the families are afraid to speak out."
For some – like Ameera – the threat has succeeded in persuading them to stay at home. She now feels unable to protest. "It feels like you are waiting for your turn to be arrested. I am expecting to be arrested at any moment. I am not scared for myself, but I am afraid for my family."

TRUE SUPPORT / APOYO AUTÉNTICO

More than enough!!!
It's time for us, women from Syria, to raise our voices, to say "ENOUGH!"
Today we have the right and the duty to speak out loud and clear, no more bloodshed, no more crackdown on peaceful protesters, no more torture for children, women and men in Syria just because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
We want to wake up without fear, we want to support our men going on demonstrations. We want to prove that everything is possible, just with hope.
We have the right to live without a boot over our heads, so it's time to make a move.
Next 30th of June, Syria will raise their voices. Let the syrian women's voices be heard also...

Es el momento para nosotras, mujeres de Siria, de decir "¡BASTA!"
Hoy tenemos el derecho y el deber de gritar alto y claro, no más derramamiento de sangre, no más represión brutal contra manifestantes pacíficos, no más torturas contra los niños, las mujeres y los hombres de Siria sólo porque estaban en el lugar equivocado en el momento equivocado.
Queremos despertar sin miedo, queremos apoyar a nuestros hombres yendo a las manifestaciones. Queremos probar que todo es posible, simplemente teniendo esperanza.
Tenemos el derecho a vivir sin una bota pisando nuestras cabezas, así que es hora de moverse.
El próximo 30 de junio, Siria dejará que se oigan sus voces. Que se oigan también las voces de las mujeres de Siria...
